Wild Cow Nashville

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of finally making it to Wild Cow in Nashville for dinner.

This is a vegetarian restaurant but everything on the menu is vegan. The reason it is called a vegetarian restaurant is because you can ask for dairy cheese upon request.

The is the second time I have been and the entire thing is just completely AH-mazing. Seriously

Here is a look at their menu-

The first time I went I got the black bean quinoa tacos. They were divine! They came with a vegan sour cream that was one of the most delicious things I have ever tasted. Absolutely loved them. Sorry, no picture because I was with a friend who I knew would think it was weird and I was just too excited to finally be there. This was my first time having vegan sour cream and theirs is homemade. Yum. It came with a side of roasted veggies in their green goddess sauce. I licked every bit of that sauce out of that bowl. Didn't know food could taste that good!

The second time I went this is what I ordered:

It is the lentil bowl. Basically it is a delicious lentil soup wonderful flavors. I had mine on top of quinoa and they there is a heavy drizzle of vegan garlic aoili on to. They aoili was delicious but there was a lot on there. I would ask for less or for it on the side next time. But this bowl was fresh and filling but didn't leave me bloated or stuffed up. Perfection.  On the side I got the roasted vegetables with the miso-ginger sauce. I thought the green-goddess sauce was the best thing ever, but I was wrong. This stuff was tangy and enticing.

I am hopefully going back on Wednesday night and I absolutely CAN not wait!

If you live in Nashville, near Nashville, or anything- drive over and eat here. You will not regret it!

They also have a full spread of vegan desserts which I have yet to sample. So, I will let you know once I do.

I love vegan restaurants. Possibly the greatest invention ever!

  1. Vegan restaurants are the best! I have one near me at school, and I wish I could eat there every week. Even my non-veg family loves it. And I also got a really good gourmet vegan no-cheese pizza the other day at a restaurant that focuses on organic and local ingredients and I liked that they had vegan and gluten free options. I wish more restaurants were like that!
